And he (the Lord) said unto me, My grace is sufficient
for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9 Have you ever found yourself
in a seemingly impossible situation? Or maybe you had
a tough decision to make. Daniel knew what it was like
to face the impossible. The Apostle Paul knew what it
was like to face the impossible.
In Daniel's case, he turned to the only person who
could help him: God, while the people around him said, "No
one can reveal it to the king except the gods, and they do
not live among men." Daniel knew this to be untrue
(Daniel 2:11).
The one true God did live among them, and He lives
among us today. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says we are God's temple
and God's Spirit lives in us. In God's mercy and
grace, He makes wisdom available to us if we'll ask, seek
and believe just like Daniel did. So when we are faced
with the impossible, we must have faith to ask God for help
through prayer. Then we seek His wisdom in His Word,
and we believe He will help us through the impossible, for
His grace is sufficient.

And he (Jesus) said Abba Father, all things are
possible unto thee: take away this cup from me: nevertheless
not what I will, but what thou wilt. Mark 14:36
Three times, as He faced the impossible place, Jesus
implored His Father to take the cup (cf. Isaiah 51:17
Jeremiah 25:15) from Him, but He knew there was no other way
to save the world of sinners except through the cross, so
three times He submitted Himself to the Father's will.
All His life, He had sought to do the Father's will (John
6:38 8:28-29: Hebrews 10:7) and now He was truly
"obedient to death" (Philippians 2:8)
How much more should we give up our self-will in the
impossible place and submit to God's will! In
self-denial (the impossible place), we must carry the cross
to follow Jesus (Luke 9:23) There is no other way.

It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to
believe the message I told you, unless of course you
believed something that was never true in the first place.
1 Corinthians 15:2 There are three elements of
the gospel. First, Christ died for our sins according
to the scriptures. The second element of the gospel is
that Jesus not only "died for our sins according to the
scriptures" but He was also "buried". Why does
Paul include the burial of Jesus? Is it not enough
that Jesus died and rose again? The reason for it is
that when His disciples came and took the body of Jesus down
from the cross, it marked their acceptance of the fact of
His death.
The third element is, "He was raised on the third day
according to the scriptures." Again, He fulfilled the
predictions. It was anticipated that He would die: it
was equally anticipated that He would rise again from the
dead on the third day, to the amazement of the disciples He
fulfilled all predictions. He was not merely
resuscitated (that is, coming back to the life He had
before), He was resurrected. That means He came back
to a life He had never lived before, a glorified life, a
different life, and yet in the amazing mystery of the
resurrection, the same Jesus with the wounds in His body
that His disciples could touch and feel and see for
themselves, as well as spend time with Him. Jesus
desires for you to come near and spend time with Him in His
resurrection power.

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of
Christ. Galatians 6:2
The main point of
Galatians 6:1-5 is given in a general way in verse 2 and a
specific way in verse 1. Verse 2: "Bear one another's
burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. If a
Christian brother or sister is weighed down or menaced by
some burden or threat, be alerted to that and quickly do
something to help. Don't let them be crushed.
Don't let them be destroyed. Don't be like the Scribes
and Pharisees. Jesus said, "They bind heavy burdens
hard to bear and lay them on men's shoulders, but they
themselves will not move them with their finger".
(Matthew 23:4) Don't increase burdens.
Make them lighter for people. Some of you wonder what
you are supposed to do with your life. Here is a
vocation that will bring you more satisfaction than if you
became a millionaire ten times over. Develop the
extraordinary skill for detecting the burdens of others and
devote yourself daily to making them lighter. In this
way you fulfill the law of Christ (6:2)
